DENVER, CO – Come out for some fellowship, fitness and fun and hang out with friends at City Park in Denver for the Colfax Marathon weekend of May 16 and 17.

Ascend Performing Arts will have two teams running in the Marathon Relay (Team Blue Knights and Team Ascend). Team Blue Knights will be competing in the Open Coed division and is made up of Blue Knights members, Myles Giller, Mikala Mortensen, Grant Vincent, Andrew Precoor and Andriy Sovetov. Team Ascend Performing Arts is competing in the Corporate Nonprofit division and is made up of Mark Arnold, Cody Arnold, Gregory “GM” Kuzma, Jordan Jacobsen and Rod Kosterman.

BKPE will be drumming up support along the race route.

Runners aren’t the only ones who will be representing Ascend Performing Arts on race day. The Broncos Stampede drum line and Broncos Brass horn line will be performing Sunday morning outside of Sports Authority Field at Mile High Stadium, and the Blue Knights Percussion Ensemble are scheduled to perform along the marathon route on Colfax Avenue for the Colfax Marathon, Marathon Relay and 10-Miler races. See them there between 6:00am and 10:30am.

After the races on Sunday, May 17th, there will be a massive after-party put on by the Colfax Marathon coordinators (click here for details). Food has been donated by the famous Jim ‘N Nick’s Bar-B-Q (with vegetarian options available), there will be free beer from Michelob Ultra, and live music. In addition, runners can wander through the blue tents of Charity Partner Village and visit with other runners from their charity and others.
