BLUE KNIGHTS STAFF – Kenton Wallis (High Brass Instructor)

Kent is a music educator and Blue Knights Drum & Bugle Corps alumnus from the Dallas, TX-area. He received a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Houston where he studied with Marion West, David Bertman, John Benzer, Jim Vassallo, and James Austin. Kent was also a member of the Blue Knights from 2010 until his age-out season in 2013 on trumpet (2010-2011), mellophone (2012), and as one of the drum majors (2013) with Aaron Bradford and CJ Garcia.

While pursuing his degree in college, Kent worked as the trumpet private lessons instructor at Arnold Middle School in Cy-Fair ISD and as a visual and music technician with the Cy-Fair High School and The Woodlands High School marching bands. He was a visual technician at the Troopers Drum & Bugle Corps for the 2017 season.

Kent currently resides in Frisco, TX where he is the Assistant Director of Bands at Heritage High School. He directs the marching band, Wind Symphony, and Symphonic Band ensembles.
