DENVER, CO – Ascend Performing Arts is pleased to announce a partnership with Bringing Music to Life (bringingmusictolife.org), a non-profit organization that collects, repairs and awards musical instruments to youth who otherwise might not have the opportunity to reap the benefits that come from learning to play an instrument.
“We are very excited to partner with Bringing Music to Life because it not only is for a good cause but aligns nicely with Ascend Performing Arts mission of furthering the education and growth of young people,” said Mark Arnold, Executive Director of Ascend Performing Arts.
All musical instruments are accepted with the exception of upright pianos and organs. Any instrument donated is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by the law.
“Our key month for instrument donations from the public is March, with April through July for repairs,” said Steve Blatt, Executive Director of Bringing Music to Life. “At the end of August we award the instruments to the schools that have applied and met our selection criteria.”
Watch for upcoming announcements about Bringing Music to Life’s instrument drive which will be held in March. Go to bringingmusictolife.org for more information or contact the Ascend Office at 303.777.1937 / [email protected] if you have an instrument to donate.
