Ascend Partners with Community Food Share

DENVER, CO – Ascend Performing Arts has partnered with Community Food Share whose mission is to eliminate hunger in Boulder and Broomfield Counties through engagement, collaboration, and leadership.

Please consider donating non-perishable food items at donation receptacles at the Ascend Performing Arts office, the Ascend Holiday Party or at the upcoming BKX19 Audition camp on December 14-16. We will be accepting food donations through December 16. Community Food Share is also accepting donations at King Soopers stores in Longmont, Louisville, Lafayette, and Gunbarrel.

Community Food Share partners with more than 40 non-profit organizations to distribute groceries and meals in the community. Partner Agencies receive food from CFS at no cost, and together we create a network that comprehensively serves low-income families and individuals—every dollar a Partner Agency saves on food can be directed to assistance with housing, healthcare, education, and other basic needs.

Sixty-six percent of food that CFS distributes is through Partner Agencies. Last year, these partnerships provided enough food for 5.4 million meals, a value of $11.3 million!
