Position Summary:
The Assistant Chef helps prepare and serve nutritious meals for the Blue Knights Drum Corps during rehearsals and tour. This role works closely with the Head Chef to ensure timely meal preparation and proper food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in meal preparation, cooking, and serving food for members, staff, and volunteers.
- Help plan menus that accommodate dietary needs and ensure proper nutrition.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the food truck and meal prep areas.
- Assist in grocery shopping, inventory management, and supply restocking.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Support cleanup and dishwashing after meals.
Qualifications:
- Experience in food service, catering, or kitchen operations preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight schedules.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
