Ascend Performing Arts, a leading organization in the performing arts community, is thrilled to announce the appointment of Bliss Coleman as its new Director of Development.
Bliss Coleman’s journey in the arts has been shaped by her first-generation American and Estonian roots, instilling in her a passion for cultural diversity and inclusivity. Previously, Bliss served as the driving force behind the success of the Aurora Cultural Arts District (ACAD), leading the district to attain certification as a creative district through the state of Colorado.
One of the hallmark achievements of Bliss’s tenure at ACAD has been her steadfast support for artists in building sustainable careers. Her mentorship has propelled local talents to prestigious heights, with many of them showcasing their work at renowned venues such as the Boulder Art Museum and the Denver Art Museum.
In addition to her role at ACAD, Bliss actively serves on the marketing board for the Colorado Women’s Art Caucus and the Adams County Arts and Cultural Commission Board. These positions further amplify her influence and commitment to the arts, allowing her to champion broader initiatives and support a diverse range of artists and cultural programs.
