Blue Knights Announce Brass Caption Head for 2019 Season

DENVER, CO – The Blue Knights Drum & Bugle Corps are pleased to announce the elevation of Keith Tye to the position of Brass Caption Head for the 2019 season.

“Keith has proven to be a great motivator and mentor for the students in the Blue Knights”, said Blue Knights Executive Director, Mark Arnold. “He is a great technician and understands the demands of competing among the very best in the world. He has a great future here with the Blue Knights!”

Keith’s experience within drum corps includes serving as the Blue Knights Assistant Caption Head in 2018, and serving as a Brass Technician with the Arizona Academy Drum & Bugle Corps. As a marching member, Keith performed with the Blue Stars and the Carolina Crown form 2013 through 2016.

In addition to his drum corps experience, Keith was a member of the Rhythm X Winds and has also served as a brass instructor with the 3-time world champion organization.

Keith also has considerable background working with several high schools in the Indianapolis, Dayton and Cincinnati areas including Lawrence Township High School, Carmel High School and Kettering Fairmont High School.

“I’m incredibly excited to move into this role for such a great organization,” said Keith. “I’m fully committed to offering the hornline an experience that will help the students not only become stronger players and performers, but also better teachers, future music educators and powerful, self-confident adults.”
