DENVER, CO – Ascend Performing Arts is excited to announce Jillian Oppegard as the Director of Strategic Communications!
Graduating in 2005 with her B.A. in Journalism, Jillian has worked in the newsroom for the past 21 years.
During her time in news she held the position of Senior Promotions Producer at KCNC – CBS4 News in Denver, and Creative Services and Marketing Manager at KGTV – ABC10 News in San Diego.
Jillian began her Drum Corps experience in 2000 as part of the Blue Knights Color Guard through 2003. From 2016-2017, Jillian worked for Ascend as Ticket Manager for Drums Along the Rockies and Corps Encore, as well as other administrative duties.
Since 2008, Jillian has been a member of Tom Blair’s production team helping put together Drum Corps Internationals “Big, Loud, & Live” theatre broadcast, working closely with Steve Rondinaro and Dennis DeLucia and many others.
