Blue Knights Create Director of Member Experience Position

DENVER, CO – Ascend Performing Arts is pleased to announce Daniel Belcher as Director of Member Experience for the Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps.

Daniel Belcher will be stepping into a role which is new to Ascend Performing Arts, where he will be working to both oversee and innovate upon the positive experience of the members of the Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps.

“I am grateful to have Daniel so heavily involved in our organization,” said Jordan Helwerda, Executive Director, Blue Knights Drum & Bugle Corps. “Daniel fills a new role for us which will continue to help us evolve and enhance the member experience. He is one of the strongest student leaders I have come across in my over 13 years in this activity, his leadership style and strength of character transitioned flawlessly to the educational and administrative side of our organization. In this role, Daniel will continue to be an influential leader in our organization as well as the drum corps community.”

Daniel served as a drum major for the Blue Knights from 2016 to 2019, and has quickly returned to continue building upon his influence from his time as a member of the corps. In 2019, Daniel was awarded Blue Knight of the Year for his work on positive organizational culture and enhanced member treatment, in addition to being named the first recipient of the Don Warren Community Service Scholarship. Daniel is currently studying to become an electrical engineer.

“The positive, safe, developmental, and enjoyable experience of our performers is at the absolute foreground of what I consider this activity to exist for,” said Daniel. “I am beyond thrilled to be tasked with nurturing, optimizing, and innovating the life-changing experience we are able to offer to so many incredible young adults each year.”

Please join us in welcoming Daniel Belcher as the Director of Member Experience for the Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps!
