Blue Knights to Appear at Texas Bandmasters Association Convention

SAN ANTONIO, TX – The Blue Knights Drum & Bugle Corps will hold a BKXperience-Perform! clinic at the Texas Bandmasters Association 69th Annual Convention on Friday, July 22, 2016 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in downtown San Antonio, TX. This BKXperience-Perform! clinic is sponsored by Ascend Performing Arts as part of the Ascend Education program along with support from Jupiter Band Instruments, Mapex Marching Percussion, and Majestic Percussion. 

The clinic is open to attendees of the 2016 Texas Bandmasters Association convention. This will be the 69th Annual Convention that will also feature Eric Whitacre (featured composer), Gary Green (featured clinician) and the United States Army Field Band.

The Blue Knights will be a featured performer at 11:00am for over 2,000 music educators and band students on Friday morning in Exhibit Hall 3. They will then put on a visual clinic integrating body movement into marching band for band directors at 1:00pm that afternoon. The Blue Knights staff will also host a special Q&A session for band directors and instructional staff to discuss show design and effective rehearsal techniques during this clinic.
