DENVER, CO – The Blue Knights family is saddened by the loss of the Blue Knights long-time volunteer and avid supporter, Rhoda Story. She passed after prolonged battle with cancer on Wednesday, December 2, 2015. Rhoda is survived by Husband Kent and two sons Casey and Luke.
Rhoda became involved with the Blue Knights Drum & Bugle Corps when her son Luke joined the drum corps in 2008 and has been one of our most ardent supporters and dedicated volunteers ever since. Whether working countless hours on the drum corps’ uniforms, cooking meals for the members, touring with the Blue Knights or serving on our Booster Club, you could always count on Rhoda to make sure the job was done right, with laughter and fun being her main ingredient to success. Rhoda once said she spent more time working with the Blue Knights then she did her real job!
“Rhoda will be missed by her entire Blue Knights family so much,” stated Blue Knights Executive Director Mark Arnold. “She took care of us for years and we all feel a profound sense of loss. Her smile, sense of humor and positive outlook on life were an inspiration to all.”
Services are are being arranged. We will post as more information becomes available. Please keep Rhoda’s family in your thoughts during this difficult time.
