Ascend Performing Arts is excited to welcome back its Open Class Winter Percussion Ensemble.
Returning for the 2024 WGI season, Blue Knights Open offers an enriching and ambitious program for performers who want to excel in the world of percussion. This group is dedicated to bringing the Blue Knights experience to young adults who are wanting to take the next step in their percussion journey. A welcoming place for those students who are still growing where they can hone their skills, express their creativity, and advance as musicians and performers.
Ascend Performing Arts recognizes that for high school students who have a scholastic ensemble, the commitment made by a student wanting to participate in two ensembles, that their independent experience must add to, not be at the expense of, their scholastic season. With that in mind, the Blue Knights Open season will be structured to minimize potential conflicts allowing it to be accessible to as many students who are interested.
