Blue Knights Percussion Ensemble Announces 2020 Design Team

DENVER, CO – The Blue Knights Percussion Ensemble is pleased to announce the Admin Team and Design Team for the upcoming 2020 Rocky Mountain Percussion Association and Winter Guard International season. 

The Blue Knights are proud to welcome back Keenan Evans in his new role as Director. Keenan has been involved with BKPE as a member of the staff since 2015, initially working as a visual instructor. After graduating from high school, Keenan first marched with the Blue Knights Drum & Bugle Corps from 2010 – 2012 and then marched BKPE for the 2013 and 2014 seasons. After aging out of the drum corps, he worked with the Blue Knights on the administrative team as a tour manager and has done so from 2013 to present. He was also the ensemble manager for BKPE for the 2018 and 2019 seasons. Keenan holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Colorado Denver.

Also, returning in 2020 will be Peter Lucero as Program Coordinator and Visual Designer, Colin Spear as Front Ensemble Arranger, Jeff Bickford as Battery Arranger, Danny Sibley as Sound Designer and Steve Turney as Graphic Designer. Mike Nevin will also return as an Ensemble Consultant to provide his decades of WGI experience with the Blue Knights.

The Blue Knights Percussion Ensemble will compete in Marching Independent World (PIW) Class in RMPA and WGI. BKPE is proud to be partnered with KHS America, Mapex & Majestic Percussion, D’Addario, Promark, Evans, Zildjian, MEINL percussion, Digital Performance GearCreative Costume & Designs, StickTape, Pageantry Innovations, Colorado Creative Industries, and Award & Sign. The Blue Knights are the longest-running Independent World marching percussion ensemble in WGI’s history.
