Blue Knights to Host Alumni Corps Project

Blue Knights Drum & Bugle CorpsDENVER, CO – Members of the Blue Knights Alumni Association are standing up a committee to determine the interest level of alumni in putting together a reunion performance known as the Blue Knights Alumni Corps project at Drums Along the Rockies in July of 2018.

“This will be a great opportunity for Blue Knights alumni members and staff from 1958 to 2017 from all Blue Knights ensembles who miss spending their time with those from years past,” said Alex Factor, Blue Knights Alumni Coordinator. “This project will allow alumni to reconnect with old friends, suit up, and perform in front of nearly 10,000 devoted drum corps fans at Drums Along the Rockies in July of 2018 for the drum corps 60th anniversary.”

In order to put this together, a committee has been established to determine interest, costs involved, as well as activities for the reunion weekend. All alumni interested in being a part of the first-ever Blue Knights reunion performance, should fill out the form below. More details will be emailed out to those who sign-up. This alumni performance is open to all alumni and staff from Ascend Performing Arts ensembles to include the Blue Knights Drum & Bugle Corps and Blue Knights Percussion Ensemble (World and Open).

“Whether Blue Knights alumni marched in the 1960s, marched with Blue Knights for a season in the 1990s, or aged-out in 2015, Blue Knights will always part of the family and be forever a Blue Knights Alum,” said Alex Factor who has also taken the lead on the project as the Blue Knights Alumni Corps Project Committee Chairperson. “So far, we have 170 alumni interested but we have plenty of room for more!”

Blue Knights alumni members and staff who are not on our Blue Knights Veterans Facebook group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/BlueKnightsVeterans/) should join to be a part of the discussion.

Questions should be directed to the Blue Knights Alumni Coordinator, Alex: [email protected].
