Wes Walton was appointed to the Ascend Performing Arts Board of Directors in February, 2026 and currently serves as a Member-at-Large.

Wes is a business and financial services leader with more than 20 years of industry experience and currently serves as the Business Product Solutions Group Manager at Spokane Teachers Credit Union (STCU). Passionate about the credit union movement and the cooperative banking model, he has built his career helping financial institutions deliver innovative products and services that strengthen businesses, members, and communities. His expertise includes treasury management, product development, digital services, strategic planning, and organizational leadership. He holds the Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation from the Association for Financial Professionals.

A Blue Knights alum, Wes marched with the corps in 1999 and also performed with the Pride of Oklahoma Marching Band. Today, he performs with Rainbow City Performing Arts in his current hometown of Seattle, Washington. His arts leadership experience includes serving as Finance Director for Rainbow City Performing Arts and as a founding member and former Director of Reign City Riot, the pep band for Seattle Reign FC and the first band in women’s professional sports.

Originally from Oklahoma and Colorado, Wes studied music education at the University of Oklahoma and earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from Western Governors University. As a member of the Ascend Performing Arts Board of Directors, and a proud BK alum, he is committed to creating opportunities for young performers and helping ensure Ascend’s continued success for generations to come.
