Educational Outreach Program

Ascend Performing Arts Educational Outreach Program provides students with an opportunity to experience high-quality performances by their peers. Clinics and workshops allow students to explore all aspects of performance, including singing, dancing, acting and movement by emphasizing poise and self-confidence, giving students a feeling for their individual capabilities and potential. To meet this goal, Ascend Performing Arts presents the following opportunities:

– The BKXperience allows student of a variety of performance levels to learn from the some of the best educators in the marching arts activity while experiencing what it is like to go through an audition experience with the Blue Knights Drum & Bugle Corps or Blue Knights Percussion Ensemble.  A number of participants join the drum and bugle corps or percussion ensemble as a result of the BKXperience camps.  However, everyone participates gains improved skills, increased self-confidence, and make new friends.  Learn more here!

GJClinic_DB_10439421_10204751650850204_1760660677626519341_n– The Inside The Blue Knights Clinics provide an opportunity for marching band musicians and color guard students to not only learn from our top-grade educational team, but to also perform with the Blue Knights Drum & Bugle Corps and Blue Knights Percussion Ensemble. Watch for these exciting opportunities on the Calendar or on the Ascend Facebook page.

– Our performance ensemble will engage and inspire your students with a concert designed especially for elementary and grade school audiences.  Students are exposed to a wide range of musical styles, all in an atmosphere of fun and collaboration. Combining infectious enthusiasm and the performing energy of our performance ensemble with plenty of audience participation that will leave a lasting impression in an unforgettable experience.

Ascend Performing Arts Master Classes will teach your music students advanced performance techniques on the stage, in the gym, or on the marching field. Topics include all aspects of performance, including instrumental playing, singing, body movement and leadership. This is available for elementary through high school students.

Q: What is the performance fee?

Q: For what type of events will the ensemble perform?

A: Performances have included everything from the opening act of the 2015 Alpine Ski World Championships in Vail, Colorado to a full 30-minute main act performance at the Tao-Yuan Music Festival in Tao-Yuan,  Taiwan. Q: Is it possible to request specific music?

A: Our ensembles have extensive repertoire selections from which to choose music that may be appropriate for your event and depending on the timing, may be able to customize for a specific program.

Q: Can your ensembles be booked and available for performance year round? 

A: Ascend Performing Arts will accept requests for any date and time throughout the year. Some of our ensembles tour extensively during the summer months as a result, performance availability may be limited during this time. However, we do have the capability to provide high energy entertainment tailored to your needs throughout the year.
