Mikey Sheeran, Blue Knights new Co-Battery Manager, got his start in Round Rock Texas. He graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education. Mikey’s performance background includes marching with numerous drum corps and Indoor Percussion ensembles; Imperial Percussion Theater (2013-2014), The Guardians Drum and Bugle Corps (2013) in their inaugural season in which Mikey was the Snare section Leader and Percussion Ensemble Captain. Genesis Drum and Bugle corps (2014), Monarch Independent (2015 – 2017), The Spirit of Atlanta Drum and Bugle Corps (2015), The Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps (2016). Mikey Aged out in 2017 as the Ensemble captain of Monarch Independent.Â
Mikey has teched and taught lessons with multiple schools in Texas including John J. High school, Steele High School, Cedar Ridge High School, Hendrickson High school, and Weiss High School. Mikey has been on the Battery staff at The Guardians Drum and Bugle Corps, Genesis Drum and Bugle Corps, and Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps. Mikey is the co Battery Caption head and has been on the design team for Rhythmic Force Percussion from 2018 – Present. Mikey became the Percussion Director of Westwood High School in the Round Rock Independent School District in 2018. The Westwood High School Marching band has been a consistent Bands of America Finalist and has made multiple appearances at the UIL State marching contest. Westwood will be performing at the Midwest Clinic and Convention in December of 2023 and at the TMEA Clinic and Convention in February of 2024.
