Samantha Muckleroy is currently an Associate Director of Bands at Glenn High School in Leander, Texas. Before joining the team at Glenn, she taught for three years at Clear Falls High School in League City, Texas. During her time at Clear Falls, Ms. Muckleroy’s ensembles were consistently awarded Sweepstakes at UIL Concert and Sightreading contests and Area Finalists at the Area Marching Band Contest.
Prior to starting her career, Ms. Muckleroy attended Texas State University, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Studies. While at Texas State, she studied Horn under the direction of Dr. Caroline Steiger and performed with the Wind Symphony and Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Dr. Caroline Beatty and Dr. Jacob Harrison. She also performed in various ensembles including the Bobcat Marching Band, Basketball Band, Symphonic Band, and Concert Band.
Ms. Muckleroy participated as a performer in DCI with the 2017 Blue Knights and 2018 Blue Devils on mellophone. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, camping, playing with her cat, Indie, and spending time with loved ones. She is excited to be back with the Blue Knights and looks forward to a great season!
