Colin Ferry is a composer, educator, and percussionist based in Northern Colorado, where he currently serves as the front ensemble caption head at the Blue Knights Percussion Ensemble and as a percussion instructor at high school programs that include the state champion Fossil Ridge Marching Band. In addition to his involvement in the pageantry arts, Colin is also a composer of chamber and large ensemble music. His most recent project is Solenoid, a percussion quintet written for the CSU Percussion Ensemble to premiere at the 2026 Percussive Arts Society International Conference. Colin holds degrees in music composition, music performance, and general mathematics from Colorado State University, and he performed with a variety of world-class DCI and WGI groups including Carolina Crown, Broken City Percussion, and the Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps.
