Corey Castillo is a musician and marching arts educator based in Austin, Texas. From 2018 to 2023, Corey was a member of the Blue Devils Drum & Bugle Corps as a mellophone player and head drum major, and received the Blue Devil of the Year award in 2022 and 2023. More importantly, the development of leadership and life skills is a process that Corey shares with his students at Vista Ridge High School, Liberty Hill High School, and the Blue Knights Drum & Bugle Corps. In the digital world, Corey collaborates with Silent Command in hosting and producing The 8 to 5 Club, a podcast for leaders in the marching arts. Corey is a graduate student at the UT Austin Butler School of Music and holds a bachelor’s degree in bassoon performance from UCLA.
