INDIANAPOLIS, IN – The Blue Knights Drum & Bugle Corps recently completed their 2021 season with the Celebration Tour at Lucas Oil Stadium.
The Blue Knights began their summer on July 1st, starting their preseason in their hometown of Denver, CO, before going on tour. While a non-competitive season, the Blue Knights production of “Always” was well received by fans and performed by crowds across the country.
Fun Facts about the 2021 Season:
– The Blue Knights administered over 1,500 COVID-19 tests, and had 0 positive results!
– The Blue Knights performed in over 13 performances in the month-long tour, including three local community shows.
– Out of 161 members, 10 of them came from outside the United States to perform with the Blue Knights! There was also representation from Japan and Canada.
– 58 members aged out with the Blue Knights this summer! 24 of these members were rookies with the Blue Knights.
-The Blue Knights performed their signature encore tune of “Eyes” for the first time at Lucas Oil Stadium! This performance has been viewed online by over 1.3 million people!
While the Blue Knights were perfecting “Always,” Ascend Performing Arts hosted their annual shows of Corps Encore in Ogden, UT and Drums Along the Rockies in Denver, CO. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, both shows received strong turnouts, and Drums Along the Rockies held a sold-out crowd at JeffCo Stadium!
