Position Summary:
The Housing Director is responsible for securing and managing all housing sites for the Blue Knights Drum Corps throughout the summer tour. This role ensures that corps members and staff have safe, comfortable, and reliable housing accommodations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Secure housing sites for spring training, move-ins, and all tour stops, working with schools, community centers, and other venues.
- Establish relationships with site coordinators and ensure all housing agreements are in place.
- Develop and maintain housing policies that align with DCI regulations and corps needs.
- Coordinate with the Tour Director to manage site logistics, including access to facilities, showers, and meal prep areas.
- Address and resolve housing-related issues that arise during the season.
- Ensure housing sites are respected, cleaned, and maintained by corps members and staff.
Qualifications:
- Experience in logistics, hospitality, or event coordination.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of drum corps tour operations preferred.
