Bass Technician

TJ SALSBERG

TJ Salsberg is a resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast and is excited to join the Blue Knights!

He has worked as a music educator and battery arranger with various high school marching band programs and indoor percussion ensembles in Mississippi, South Carolina, and Texas. Some of these schools include Germantown High School (MS), Petal High School (MS), West Harrison High School (MS), T.L. Hanna High School (SC), Dawson HS (TX), and Jones College (MS). He was a battery instructor for 8x WGI Percussion Scholastic World Class finalist, Petal Indoor Theatre from 2017-2023.

His teaching experiences have also included working with several DCI & WGI ensembles. He was on the battery staff for Louisiana Stars Drum and Bugle Corps from 2018 – 2022, primarily as a bass drum tech. In 2023, he joined Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps as a battery visual tech. He has had the privilege to work with other independent percussion ensembles including Audio Theatre and Palmetto Indoor Theatre.

His experiences as a performer include two summers of drum corps with Colts Drum and Bugle Corps; 2014 in the front ensemble and 2015 on bass drum. He also performed multiple seasons of WGI indoor percussion on snare drum. He marched two seasons in WGI Percussion Open Class, before performing with WGI Independent World Class finalist, Palmetto Percussion in 2015 and 2016.
