Ryan Zeutzius is a percussionist from Portland, Oregon. He graduated from the University of Portland with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Psychology, with a minor in Neuroscience.

Ryan acquired years of experience at various levels of the marching arts activity throughout his time as a member. His DCI career began with the Seattle Cascades in 2018, then continued through the following four years with the Sacramento Mandarins. As for WGI, he spent three seasons marching locally with Impact Percussion, before finally aging out with Broken City Percussion in 2023.

During his marching career, Ryan was very fortunate to learn from educators such as Taha Ahmed, Mike Jackson, Veronica Wicks, Jonathan Wicks, and Roger Carter. After aging out, Ryan began working as a battery educator and designer at the high school level, and returned to the Mandarins (’23, ‘24) and Impact (’24) as a quad tech.

This summer, Ryan looks forward to serving as a quad tech for the Blue Knights Drum & Bugle Corps.
