Chandler Long is a music educator from Dickinson, Texas. He received his Bachelor of Music from Sam Houston State University where he was a part of just about every performing ensemble that needed percussionists. During his time at Sam Houston, Chandler performed at PASIC, TMEA, ABA, CBDNA, and even won 1st place in the school’s concerto competition.

Chandler began his career in the marching arts as a member of Monarch Independent’s Front Ensemble. As a rookie, Chandler was recognized by the staff as “Rookie Member of the Year” and was recognized a year later as “Member of the Year” as an age-out. Chandler now instructs the Monarch front ensemble. Chandler was a member of the front ensemble instructional staff for the Sacramento Mandarins for five seasons and is wildly excited to be a part of the equation at Blue Knights this coming season.

Chandler is a band director at Paetow High School in Katy, Texas. He lives in Houston with his wonderful girlfriend Michelle and their 2 cats and 3 dogs.
