The Colfax Marathon was recognized by Runner’s World magazine as one of the Top-10 marathons in the nation, and consists of three days, five races, and one of the biggest Charity Partner Programs in the country. Ascend Performing Arts is thrilled to announce their position as one of 190 Charity Partners for the 2022 edition of this exciting event.
Run with the Blue Knights! 
Becky Paschke, Blue Knights Drum & Bugle Corps alum, has run the Colfax Marathon for the last six years. Paschke has been active with Ascend Performing Arts since 1999 as a mellophone player, drum major, and tour advisor for the Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps. She also served on the Ascend Board of Directors for a year, took part in Blue Knights-Taiwan and Blue Knights-Vail performance ensembles.
Paschke currently teaches music as a high school band director and has served as a Colfax Marathon Ambassador over the past few years. This means she volunteers during race weekend, attends training runs to spread the word about the marathon, and assists charity partners, such as Ascend Performing Arts. Paschke urges, “There is a race for everyone with the Colfax Marathon! Runners of all abilities can find a race that suits them. Come out and enjoy!”

If running long distances at early hours isn’t your cup of tea, you can still take part in the amazing atmosphere of this event by volunteering. By volunteering, you not only help the marathon run smoothly, but helping Ascend Performing Arts raise awareness in our local community.
